At Syndicus Inc., we’re always looking for opportunities to deepen our relationships, strengthen our local business community, and make a meaningful impact in the Central Maryland region. That’s why we’re proud to announce our formal membership in the Central Maryland Chamber (CMC).

The CMC: A Thriving, Engaged Organization

The Central Maryland Chamber is a dynamic regional chamber serving Western Anne Arundel County, Eastern Howard County, the City of Laurel, and beyond. Founded in 2017 as a merger of two well-established chambers, CMC provides business networking, advocacy, educational programs, and growth resources to companies of all sizes. Central Maryland Chamber+1
With a mission of “promoting the continuous improvement of the common good and the quality of life in the community through the pursuit of new business,” the Chamber unites business owners, government, academia, and community organizations in meaningful collaboration. Central Maryland Chamber+1
CMC hosts a rich calendar of programs and signature events — from networking mixers and breakfasts to major events such as the Economic Forecast Luncheon and Holiday Mixer. The Business Monthly+1

Why Syndicus Chose to Join

  1. Expansive Networking & Relationships – CMC’s monthly events, committee programs, and affinity networks give us access to decision-makers, fellow business leaders, and potential clients in the region. According to their programs page: “get a strong network of business contacts throughout the region, free business skills training, referrals, networking events, pro-business advocacy support and money-saving discounts.” Central Maryland Chamber
  2. Visibility & Credibility – Membership signals to clients, partners and the community that Syndicus is committed to this region, beyond just providing services.
  3. Advocacy & Regional Voice – By being part of CMC, we add our voice to economic development, workforce, and regional business issues that matter locally.
  4. Learning & Growth – CMC offers seminars, roundtables, and peer groups (for example their Business Seminar Series or CEO Roundtable) that allow our leadership and staff to learn, adapt and stay ahead. Central Maryland Chamber+1

A Personal Milestone: Mike McNees Appointed to a Board Role

We’re also pleased to highlight that our Managing Director, Mike McNees, has been appointed to a board position within the Chamber, reinforcing our alignment with CMC’s mission and affirming the strength of our commitment.
Mike brings decades of leadership experience in technology, business development and strategic growth — qualities that make him well suited to contribute to CMC’s board work. (For reference, Mike recently authored articles on the Syndicus site about our merger and strategic direction. Syndicus Nacon+1)
His appointment signals not only a win for Syndicus but also a greater opportunity to influence and shape the region’s business ecosystem alongside fellow Chamber leaders.

What This Means for Syndicus Clients & Partners

  • Stronger community ties: Being embedded in CMC means we’re closer to the local decision-making and ecosystem that impact our clients and their success.
  • Expanded opportunities: As CMC publishes rich event calendars and programs (see here) — clients and partners of Syndicus may find additional value in those events and connections. Central Maryland Chamber+1
