Syndicus MSO certification, Maryland state-designated MSO, management services organizationDemonstrating its high-quality business operations, as well as sound privacy and security policies, Syndicus recently achieved its Management Services Organization (MSO) renewal approval from the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC). The Maryland state designation recertification is good for two years.


MSOs are experienced in working with practices to identify key practice workflows, which then work in unison with EHRs/EMRs. With that accomplished, practices can become more efficient, optimize their billing practices, and most importantly offer better patient care.


Since 2011, Syndicus has worked as an MSO with the Chesapeake Regional Information System for Our Patients (CRISP). This work has involved connecting with providers to help them understand the multi-faceted components of their practices, such as practice workflow redesign, that are required to help implement EHR/EMR systems. In addition, Syndicus has spent time educating practices about changing regulations, helped them to connect to the state’s Health Information Exchange (HIE), and assisted in demonstrating Meaningful Use so that practices could apply for the associated federal and state incentives.
